Leopards are often the most elusive of big cats but a week in the Okavango Delta (Moremi Game Reserve and the Chitabe concession) proved to be the exception to the rule, as we saw no less than eight different individuals.

Possibly the highlight was the nearly eight hours I spent with this young leopardess. She was rumoured to have one-month old cubs hidden away so we trailed her in order to see if she would lead us back to them. Unfortunately she never did, but we did get a great view of her clambering up and down a fig tree in order to feed on the impala buck she had stashed away.
